History of Jewel Craft

The Pieterse-family has been in the jewellery industry since the early 80's.  Theo Pieterse began creating jewellery on their farm “La Riviera” in the Bultfontein district as a hobby.  His stunning handwork became so popular among the farming community’s women that he later began a shop “La Riviera Jewellers” in Bultfontein.

Jaco, the oldest son soon followed in his father footsteps and started a jewelers shop in Welkom called Gold Craft.  Rean, the middle son realized Bloemfontein also needed the Pieterse’s craftsmanship and creativity and founded his shop “Jewel Craft” about 11 years ago in Bloemfontein.

Jewel Craft in the Brandwag Centre went from strength to strength and started off from a small shop which mostly created jewellery to a big business that sold popular and unique jewellery, watches and gifts. We also sell handcraft and manufactured trophies and medals.  Engraving became so popular, that Jewelcraft purchased a special computer which made engraving work much faster and professional looking.

Rean has the creativity and patience to create anything that your heart can ever desire.  Rean works on the designs himself in the workshop, to make sure that each product is precisely what the client wants.

At Jewelcraft, we try to fix and modify jewellery as soon as possible and it is our ideal to have each client be happy with our work and service when they walk out of our shop.
